July 20, 2012 by ballyvaughansanctuary. We travel home to the Bally Vaughan Sanctuary with Joshua and Johanna, two severely debilitated lions we have just rescued. Johanna has suffered a massive seizure, she cant walk, she has an infection that has spread from her injured back leg up her spine and into her brain. She is severely dehydrated and in shock. She makes the six hour journey on a drip, monitored by Collin, my assistant.
